- Up
-
- Director: Russ Meyer
- USA:
1976
- With: Edward Schaaf, Mary Gavin: includes a gay
rape
scene:
-
- A Russ Meyer-movie with a gay scene? Yes, sir,
and
even though it's bizarre and over the top, here it is! The plot?
Hmmm...:A
Hitler lookalike called Adolph Schwartz is killed and the local sheriff
rounds
up the suspects. The rest is mayhem. You expect fun and tons of sex
when Russ
Meyer is in charge, but the gay rape scene is definitely a first, even
for him.
This wild and crazy thing was written by movie-critic maestro Roger
Ebert who
also wrote Meyer's camp classic Beyond the valley of the dolls (which
featured
a transvestite.)
