Object
of My Affection, The
USA:
1998: Gay
With:
Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston
This
is the story of George a teacher who is gay. He has just had a break-up
with
his lover and needs a place to stay. He ends temporary at
Nina´s apartment and
then ends up staying. Nina has a boyfriend but when she gets pregnant
she soon
realizes that he is not the right one for her or her future baby She
decides
that George is the right one and soon falls in love with him even
though he is
gay. The two try to
work out a
relationship but George soon learns that he is not cut-out to be in
that
relationship and know that he could be a good father but not her lover.
Note:
I watched this film twice in a few days as the first impression was
that I did
not like the part about the girl falling in love with the gay and the
gay
trying to fall in love with the girl but in the second viewing I
realized this
part of the story takes only only 15 minutes but that the rest of the
film is a
must see ! Watch the film and judge for yourself ! The actors in this
film give
excellent performances.

Oh
! My Three Guys
Director:
Chiu Sung Kee
Hong
Kong: 1994: 96 Minutes.: Gay
With:
Kat Man Fai as Kau Wong, Tse Wah as Fa Lau and Ching Wan as Hoi:
This
is one of the more progressive Hong Kong films and traces the lives of
three
gay men. The three have been friends since they were boy and now share
an
apartment. The three are quite different. Hoi is into picking up men
and then
dropping them. Fa is having a depression as he has just broken up with
his
lover. Kau is a flaming queen and nicknames Miss Kau. All seems perfect
for a
really good script till it takes a change for the worse. One becomes a
heterosexual (how that works I do not know !). One finds out he is HIV
Positive
and does something terrible. Only the third friend comes out OK. A
little
depressing but with this much gay content a must see.
Note:
Films from Hong Kong are really well done and tackle gayness very well
but they
still have a way to go as they seem to be locked in the old Hollywood
style of
killing off gays or making them turn straight when the "right" woman
comes along. Too bad as this film had everything to make it a really
good gay
film.

With Atsushi Fukazawa as Tamio,

Takeo Nakahara as Tochi and
Masayuki
Shionoya as Kurihara:
This
is about a woman (Sayoko) who loves being with gay men. There are two
special
ones called Goh and his older lover Tochi. She loves them so much that
she is
willing for them use her apartment to have sex (as they can't afford
hotels).
All goes well until Tochi´s wife gets upset and says she will
tell Tochi´s
co-workers that he is gay. She wins out and Tochi leaves Goh. Goh in
turn meets
a new man called Kurihara but is he gay ? see the film to find out.
Note:
In the film the two lovers have lots of friends who are drag queens and
there are
scenes in bars with drag shows. Also this film has some hot sex scenes
so I
wouldn't show this film to your parents (unless - of course- they are
gay too
!) Also the title is the slang word for women who hang around with gay
men.

USA:

With
Jim Carrey and Lauren Hutton:
This
is the story of a young man who comes into contact with a female
vampire, who
he both loves and hates. When his two school friends find out about her
they
get him in the locker room showers and strip him to see if he has on
his body
the bites of the vampire. Unhappily for him they are seen in the shower
and the
rumor gets around the school that he and the two boys were having gay
sex. You
can imagine how this effects a straight boy!. There is also a drag
queen that
might get his/her man.

This is an early Jim Carrey film before he made it to the big stardom.
Not a
master piece but certainly worth a look.

Director:
by Susanne Bier:
Sweden
2000:
With:
Bjørn Kjellman, Helena Bergström and Thomas Hanzon:
If
you're a fan of the ESC (Eurovision song Contest) on TV, you're either
a slave
to trash culture and bad pop music or.....gay (or both!) Either way,
this is
the story of Mona, who enters the ESC with a ballad written by a friend
(actually, she stole it from him)
Will
she reach the finals on national TV! Will her dream of singing live
come true?
You watch and find out.
Mona
has a husband, 4 kids and a gay transvestite brother who calls himself
Candy
Darling. Candy designs loud, colorful dresses, just right for Mona to
wear on
TV. He also has AIDS.
The
scriptwriter is Jonas Gardell, who is a near genius, but not here. He
should
have written in a boyfriend for Candy and dumped the AIDS subplot,
which is far
too serious for this film.
If
you're into Swedish celebrities, you can always go star-gazing, cause
there are
tons of them here. That's it!

the workmanship of the writer Fernando Vallejo. In the film Fernando
comes back
to his native city, Bogota, thirty years later and and he falls in love

The
director obtained to transform for the screens a history of sensuality,
danger

tram of
devilish murders, where who wants that it crosses its path disappears
mysteriously. The passion between the two becomes violent more sexy

Now,
this movie was actually quite good... Directed by the man who won the

surprises:
There
is a scene where Riley is spying on a naked girl which is accompanied

Michael McDonald (from MadTV) plays Riley's boyfriend, with a solid
