Ken Park

The movie talks about the lives of four suburban teen of California. Shawn (James Bullard) is dating a pretty blond girl and also has sex her mother. Claude (Stephen Jasso) has lots of problems with his homophobic, bullying father (Wade Andrew Williams), while pregnant mom (Amanda Plummer) coddles him a mite too closely. Peaches (Tiffany Limos) treads carefully around her fundamentalist Christian father, but manages to commence a sex life. And Tate (James Ransome) bickers viciously with his grandparents in between auto-asphyxiation jerk-off sessions. The film sees perversity spreading across the generational board: a father tries to perform oral sex on his son; another father is more jealous of his daughter’s suitors than protective; and a boy’s angst turns into shocking homicide. A very strong movie with a very pessimist point of view about the American way of life and the the useless youth in the American´s suburbs plus a Lots of naked teenagers having explicit sex.
Note: After Kids ans Bully Larry Clark comes with another homo erotic movie: Ken Park.

We also have the American perspective on gay marriage represented in Proud Alumni, where a woman tries to get her marriage recognized by her university's alumni newsletter. This series of films is guaranteed to give you something to talk about after you see it!
This 55 minute film has many themes such as growing up in a small town with gay parents, to a lesbian coming of age and including a Spanish lesbian couple´s story about wanting to get a baby. I There is something for both gays and lesbians in this film.

Please do not go and see or rent this film because I have listed it. I have it here because it is another example of Hollywood changing a homosexual into a heterosexual for film purposes. Charles Heston is the gay made into straight Gen Charles Gorden. Oh well wait for the remake when and if they makes it with the truth in it.

There is one scene in the park where the group see an black and white man holding hands. and say: This is sick! Fagots! Fucking Fagots! where are the gay couple give the group the finger. Besides this story line there is one boy called Telly who has only unprotected sex with virgins. One of his girls from the past gets AIDS and how this effects him.

Note: worth a see !

It is a wonderful comedy about condoms who are programmed to bit them off. The detective is gay and has both a transvestite as an Ex-friend and also a cute hustler. Set in New York city it is well filmed and has tons of laughs plus a great cast... If you want a fun 1 ½ hours see this one !!

She lives with her lover Childie and the film traces how her life starts to falls apart between the lost job and the fact that her Childie has an affair. A very early and very open Lesbian film. A classic to see ! with a great cast.

This film is just too much it is billed as a romantic comedy about 7 pairs who are end up at the Kilometer 0 bar.
It is VERY HOT out but there is still time for love and romance in Spain. A man who is about to be married want to have sex with a whore as he is a virgin. Another chats up a sex partner and wants to meet him for sex and it turns out to be someone else who is a Flamingo dancer ( a real hunk). An older woman whats to have sex with a call boy and after the sex ends up thinking it is her son which she gave away at birth. There is even a gay angle and he almost has sex with the shy straight guy.
There is mucho mixs ups in this film and it makes it a fun comedy. See it just for a fun time.

This is the story of King Louis XIV whose love of dance gets him through his raining years as King. He loves anything to do with dancing and especially if the dance is made for him to preform. He appoints Gian Baptista Lully as his composer of the court. Lully is a open bisexual and throughout the years has many affairs at court with both men and women. Lully is able to hold the position for 35 years and when the Sun King has an accident and can not longer dance, Lully finds ways to keep him interested in music. One is led to believe that Lully´s love of music also includes a love of the Sun King too. A quite beautiful film and certainly an important story of gays and bisexuals and how we influenced important history.

This is the story of an American and a British solder who are in a W.W.II POW camp. The American is a black and he takes the British solder under his protection. The relationship is most likely homosexual but it is only hinted upon in the movie (as usual in Hollywood).
Note : In the original novel there is a sex change in this story but Hollywood changed it to a transvestite in the film. Worth a see if you don't mind that they don't say the Gay word !

Charming true story about a town which has a shoe factory as one of the major job givers. When the owner dies and leaves the factory to his son it seems as if the factory will go bankrupt. Then the owner goes to a transvestite show in the big city and meets a transvestite who has trouble finding the right boots. What happens next is that the transvestite works with the shoe factory new owner and they decide that the only way to save the factory and help transvestites find the right boots is to form an co-alliance to get the factory back on its feet. As you can image the small town is anit-gay until the gtet to know the transvestite better and slowly he becomes a part of the team. Very interesting story line and well produced- Have a see – you´ll be happy you did !

Before Alfred Kinsey sex was only talked about under the table but when he came on the scene he started to do research info the human sexuality. He tried out his bisexuality with his own assistant and so was able to write first hand about these subjects. The film is well made and VERY intressting. He did more for helping people find out about their sexuality then most people had done all together at that time. A well spent and educational look back and well worth the 118 mins spent watching it !

Shoko and Mutsuki have to get married to appease their parents. The parents force them to get married as they have been worried about the two for some time. She is way past the normal marrying age in Japan and he is in love with a young male who is in college with him. This film traces the three and how they try to adjust their lives to this situation. Very good insight into Japanese life.

The movie opens up with a scene of a man who is dying on the street, along comes another man who bends down and kisses him on the lips. What takes place is pure hate and when the press publishes the story of the kiss the mans life becomes a nightmare where even his boss calls him a fagot.
Note : the moral of the story : never kiss a dying man on the lips in Brazil !

In this well written and well acted film Val Kilmer plays a gay detective and he get involved in a murder investigstion. During the investigation he becomes friends with a criminal who is now an actor (and is played by Robert Downey). The two carry the movie and kept me entertained for the entire time I watched. I like gay detective movies and i hope you will two. For the plot - see the movie !

Plus there is JM J. Bullock as the Not-yet-out gay guy.

There are all kinds of fun situations which occur when the straight moves in with the gay, including a gay training for the straight so that he can play a gay in a play.

In order to escape the reality of prison life Luis invents romantic movies, while Valentin tries to focused on his political beliefs. As the two men spend time together Valentin sees to be drawn in to movie world of Luis. When Luis is about to be released from prison Valentin uses this chance to have sex with Luis (who is in love with Valenin) in order to get Luis to do something for him on the outside. No I won't tell you what the something is and I won't tell you how it ends - you will have to see the film for yourself. You'll either love it or hate it - it is a question of taste.!

A very low-budget, cute and understated short, which was found worthy of a separate release on video by the Norwegian Film Institute. One of the actors later starred in the popular Norwegian soap-drama, "Hotel Caesar".

This crime film is made for TV and is about a policeman who kills himself. The "Commissar Beck" goes out to find out why and soon discovers that the policeman was gay and being blackmailed by the Mafia to give over information about police investigations. Good one.

This is a true story of twins (Ronald and Reginal) who were born in the 1930´s to a working class family. They become cold blooded criminals who commit horrible crimes. They are very close to their mother and very close to each other. Reginal marries while Ronald is gay and lives with a live in lover. They end up with life sentences for their crimes. This film is very violent, interesting, well written and well filmed.

Yes, Yes I sat through this entire film to see George Sanders as a gay San Francisco drag queen and a black spy who is a Lesbian. In the 1970´s it was thrilling to see these characters on screen but not with all the new wonderful totally gay films being made this is only worth a look and then have it archived under Gay History of the Film.
Note : if I were you I would rent the cassette and fast forward till you see an old transvestite - watch this scene and the fast forward till you see a black woman taking advantage of a young girl. These are the only two scene worth watching for US !

Knightriders

This is basically story of a group of motorcycling men. It is quite badly acted (with lots of tits being shown on screen) movie, but strangely among this group of men there is a gay man called Pippin. He is definitely gay and out. Then comes Punch another member of the troop who finds out that Pippin is gay and asks directly to him if they can become lovers. It seems to be a sexless relationship.
Note : I don't know if you want to sit through this film to see this side story but if you, as I do love to watch movies - especially ones with gay characters then watch this film.

Kvinnen i mitt liv

I want to include this box-office "let's get married and have lots of children"-comedy smash for two reasons:
1. I know one of the guys who made it! (Go, Stageway, go!)
2. There is a lesbian wedding in it.

It's basically a straight comedy about rich, successful and beautiful Norwegians f***ing around while wishing for that one true love that will bring them lifelong happiness.
Nothing new there.
The leading man (Giertsen, stand-up comedian making his film debut) suspects that his new lover is a lesbian who just wants his sperm. He's wrong. She still gets pregnant, though, but he didn't do it. They still love each other through it all. Huh?? Straights lead such difficult love lives!!
The girl wedding is a happy affair, lots of swinging party guests and two beautiful brides ! They'll probably have babies, too.
