- Wales
: 1993 : Made for TV Drama : 55 Mins. : drugs gay prostitution:

- This
is probably the only gay Welsh language film you will see for a long
time. It
is about a young man called Dafydd , who leaves Wales for the sexual
freedom
and drugs of Amsterdam. There he lives on the streets and sell his body
to men
while all the time he denies that he is gay. Along comes an older
Welshman who
lives in Amsterdam and befriends and educates him about art and about
gay love.
This was filmed by BBC Wales and when it was shown on TV and all of the
sex

- Dandy
dust
- Director:
Hans Scheirl
- Austria/
England 1998: Trans-sexuality
- With:
Suzie Krüger, A Hans Scheirl, Tres Trash Temperilli
-
- This
movie is very difficult to describe. Sci-Fi ? Manga? Art? There is a
lot of
trans-sexual imagery in it which some critics regard as pornographic.
Disturbing and surreal, with images that are really "out there", this
plays like a bad acid trip. It may hurt you! The main character is a
man?
/woman? who occupies many bodies and entities. Moving through time and
space
he/ she collects bits and pieces of h. self while watching his/ her own
birth
and death. (Honest!) Made by the Austrian trans gendered director Angel
(originally Angela) Hans Scheirl. Not for all viewers, this is genuine
cult
cinema.

- I
watched this film and was thinking yea yea a love triangle between a
man and
his wife (who argue all the time) and a young man who enters into their
live
for better or worse ! The young man is nice to look at but we have seen
this
all before – wife falls for younger guy etc etc. but then
came the surprise end
of the film and it all took a turn for the better. So watch this film
and stick
it out to the end and you will be happy you did.

make the way for the new gay films but this one is really a stinker!!!

- A
reader of Movies TOO Gay mentioned to me that I missed this movie and

a
"gay" movie there is a gay rape scene where one of the guy on a rafting
trip (no not Jon Voight but the chubbier one Ned Beatty) gets raped by
horrible
looking hillbillies. My first question is why would Ned get raped when
Jon was
available - bad taste ? !Anyway this is only of the first movies to
mention
anal sex in the USA.....so for that it deserves a mention.

- Director:
Svend Wam
- Norway:
1998: Gay main character

Kolstad:
-
- Three
friends finally sit down to discuss their masculinity when one of them
enters a
psycho ward. One of the three is a gay man just coming out of the
closet. (He
is also, not surprisingly, the most sympathetic character.) This film
shows
that gay and straight alike, us men are frail creatures. And when we
lose a
partner, we sometimes get terribly desperate! (Personally I think gay
men are
more able to cope with this situation because they are more used to
it.) This
is a talkative black comedy with some funny parts and some disgusting
ones (the
bloody toilet-scene..UGH!)

- This
is a really entertaining film about a young girl who lands a job at the
biggest
and best Fashion Magazine even though she knows nothing about fashion
nor has she
any interest in it.
-
- She
goes to work for Miranda Priestley (played by Meryl Streep), who is
both a
fashion editor and a control freak. She puts Andy through a very
difficult time
but Andy (played by Anne Hathaway) is a quick learner and survives the
job with
the help of fashion editors Nigel (played by Stanley Tucci). Who sets
about to
her and her clothes to fit in with the fashion magazine.
-
- Nigel
is there but we never enter into his life even though we know he is
gay. His
part is like a sissy role in the 1950´s, you know he is gay
but it is never
said out loud. He helps the girl but never tries to sleep with her (he
only
wants to be her friend). He wears a big ring, is a little feminine but
no one
mentions he is gay until one scene where they are shooting a fashion
layout and
Nigel is with Andy and a male model goes and Nigel gives him a hot
“I want him”
look over. At that point it is clear he is gay. Are we going back to
the point
where being gay does not have to be mentioned anymore? I like it more
when the
gay character is out and has a life. OH well ! see the film and enjoy
it’s a
good one!

- Don't
Ask Don't Tell
-
- In
this film Doug Miles uses the 1954 B-movie, "Killers from Space"
(starring Peter Graves) reedits and puts camp dialogue into the film
making it
a gay alien films where they are send to the planet Earth to stop a
plot to
wipe out all gay on earth. The plot was to get the gays to come to
"Sodom
Flats, Texas" and if they did they would get free Barbra Streisand
concert
tickets. Hum I would go!!
-
- This
film is too weird to really explain the story line. The re dubbing
makes it a
story of Fartin played by a youthful Peter Graves who crash lands his
plane
during a top secret experiment run which was trying to wipe out all
homosexuals
out of the military. He is taken away and gets a sex operation to make
him gay
(what ?) by gay aliens who want to make the planet earth totally
gay.Strange
scenes put into this film makes its quite funny.
-
- Watch
it to see if the gay aliens succeed in turning the earth people gay..
and as
the picture trailer says :
- THEY
CAME FROM OUTER SPACE and THEY'RE FABULOUS!
-
- Oh
almost forgot to get the gays to come to be wiped out if they did come
they
would get free Barbra Streisand concert tickets. Hum I would go!!

- Don't
Tell Anyone
- (Original
title: No Se La Digas A Nadie)
- Director:
Francisco J. Lombardi
- Peru:
1998: 111 mins: Coming out
- With:
Christian Meier and Santiago Magill
-
- This,
the first gay themed film from Peru, is a startling drama centering on
a young
man's attempts at both accepting his own sexuality and coming out in a
country
where being in the closet is still the norm. Ever since he was a child,
shy
Joaquin had longings for other boys but his deep religious upbringing
and the
rejection from his straight friends kept him from expressing them. It
didn't help
that his upper class family – an over-protective mother and a
super macho dad –
continually tried to mold him into their idea of what a son should be.
Quiet,
moody, but stubbornly independent, the handsome (and often in full
frontal
nudity) student eventually moves away from home into his own apartment
while
studying to be a lawyer. Free from his parents, he seeks out his true
sexual
self – first with a loving and understanding female student
and later with a
succession of men. But drugs, emotional confusion, gay bashing and
hypocritical
gay men who constantly live their lives married but with male lovers on
the
side, all prevent the youth to be able to express his gay yearnings
openly.
Santiago Magill is a revelation as Joaquin, the innocent in search of
love and
truth and to be “normal,” in this bold and sexy
story which exposes the
destructiveness of Latino machismo and offers us a peek into gay life
in Lima.

- (original
title: Du ska nog se att det går över)
- Sweden:
2003
- Director:
Cecilia Neant Falk:
-
- Amazingly
simple in concept, this movie has won awards for its treatment of 3
young
lesbians coming to terms with their sexuality. Each of the girls are
given a
hand-held camera which they use to film themselves and their family
during two
or three years. They speak into
- the
camera-eye about their worries and joys, and their fear of being
rejected by
their parents when they come out to them. Swedish TV has shown a number
of
"hand-held" self-portraits by young people over the years and it's a
really interesting idea. Not boring as you may think.

on the forbidden fears of three teens. The theme was inspired by a real
occurrence in the life of the director who, at the age of thirteen,
sent a
letter into a Swedish magazine hoping to make contact with other girls
of the
same age who were bisexual. She received twenty responses. This time,
for the
movie, she received eighty responses. The director then chose three
girls and
filmed them for four years, from the discovery of their bisexuality to
their
coming out of the closet to friends and family. The camera works like a
secret

girls’ families to

Bill Ferris, Katherine Wray, Chase Stoeger, Karla Magnan, Ryan Martin,
Paul J.
Slavinski, Dean Stump, Sue Durso, Jason Matthew Palmer, Judson, Alexander J.
Sanborn, Bruce Wood :
-
- Today
I watched the first film by Bruce Wood called "The Door".
-
- From
The DVD cover I knew it had gay content and that it had something to do
with
dreams so I was prepared for almost anything. I watched the entire film
and was
on edge of my chair for most of the film since I could not figure out
why
things were happening. It was like a murder / mystery film where you
can not
figure “who did it”. You are brought through the
story of old friends (gays,
bisexuals and straights) and a new good looking charming male person
who
suddenly appears and enters into their lives with amazing results.
-
- You
are fooled into believing you understand what is going on but you
really can
not guess the real story line. So basically it is almost impossible to
tell you
the story line without spoiling the film. What I can say I enjoyed the
film and
if you want to watch a really special film – this is the one
to see especially
if you have had "special" dreams of your own.
-
- I
like the direction, story line and the unusual filming technique plus
the
really good sound tract.
-
- So
I am looking forward to seeing more films made by Bruce Wood and can
not wait
to see where he takes us to in the next film !!!
-
- The
DVD contains additional material and interviews with the actors. Once
you have
watched these you will understand more of the background of the
storyline.

- Dr.
Jekyll and Ms. Hyde
- With:
Tim Daly as he and Sean Young as her and Harvey Fierstein:
-
- This
is a new twist to an old story an
executive finds the drug to turn himself into a nasty
but beautiful
woman. The good parts are where he turns into she and then back to he
but in
her clothes. Another reason to see it is that Harvey Fierstein is in it
and
playing a sissy role which he does soooooo well !

- Dress
Gray
- Director:
: Glenn Jordan
- USA
: 1986 : Made for TV : 192 Mins : Drama military gay murder
- With
: Alec Baldwin as Ry Slaight, Patrick Cassidy as David Hand, Jason
Beghe as
Hank Beaumont Cameron Dye as Buck, David Harum as Cadet Barham and Gary
Kasper
as Cullinan:
-
- This
is a mystery which starts with the body of a Military plebe (David
Hand) being
found near the riverbank there is also a first class man´s
insignia found. This
is enough to cause a scandal at the U.S. Grant Military Academy The
school
headmaster is determined to hush it up and does everything in his power
to
cover up the fact that it was murder. He attempts to make everyone
accept it as
a simple drowning. This becomes a bigger problem to do as just before
his
death, David Hand has willing sexual relationships with another man.
The finger
points to Ry Slaight who is a first class man and the person that David
loved.
All this comes to light as the Army Intelligence finds (illegally)
letters to
his sister in her New York apartment. General Hedges says, "You cannot
have
a murder without a murderer." so he offers Slaight the opportunity to
"leave quietly" which would mean that he would be out of the Infantry
and sent to Vietnam. Ry decides to fight this with all his power and
with the
help of the sister sets out to find the real first class man who killed
David.
This is a really interesting story and with young men in Military
clothes it is
a plus to make you see it along with the fact it has a very young Alec
Baldwin
staring in it.
