This was filmed by BBC Wales and when it was shown on TV and all of the sex scenes were cut out. Hopefully the version you will see will have them back in.

Moving through time and space he/ she collects bits and pieces of h. self while watching his/ her own birth and death. (Honest!) The young man is nice to look at but we have seen this all before – wife falls for younger guy etc etc. but then came the surprise end of the film and it all took a turn for the better. So watch this film and stick it out to the end and you will be happy you did.

Thank God that they didn't get their way.

He trys to regain his youth by having a barber touch up his graying hair but that doesn't help him either. In the end he dies of cholera, lonely on the beach with the last person he views before he dies is the boy. He reaches his hand out towards the youth and dies. No matter how many times you see this film, it will move you.

Note : This film is very beautifully filmed and has all the Visconti touches of splendor besides being beautifully filmed. It is based on the Thomas Mann novella.

Slowly and painfully the Dr. gets Fritz Haarmann to reveal why and how he killed these boys.

Note: This is not an easy film to watch.

He invites the writer home and then want to trick him out of it but when that does not work there is always murder but who will get murdered ? Watch it and find out !

Note : this is based on the play of the same name and there are alternate versions of this film so make sure you see the one with the famous "kiss" between Sidney and Clifford after Myra's death !

My first question is why would Ned get raped when Jon was available - bad taste ? !Anyway this is only of the first movies to mention anal sex in the USA.....so for that it deserves a mention.

And when we lose a partner, we sometimes get terribly desperate! (Personally I think gay men are more able to cope with this situation because they are more used to it.) This is a talkative black comedy with some funny parts and some disgusting ones (the bloody toilet-scene..UGH!)

This is a really entertaining film about a young girl who lands a job at the biggest and best Fashion Magazine even though she knows nothing about fashion nor has she any interest in it.

 

She goes to work for Miranda Priestley (played by Meryl Streep), who is both a fashion editor and a control freak. She puts Andy through a very difficult time but Andy (played by Anne Hathaway) is a quick learner and survives the job with the help of fashion editors Nigel (played by Stanley Tucci). Who sets about to her and her clothes to fit in with the fashion magazine.

 

Nigel is there but we never enter into his life even though we know he is gay. His part is like a sissy role in the 1950´s, you know he is gay but it is never said out loud. He helps the girl but never tries to sleep with her (he only wants to be her friend). He wears a big ring, is a little feminine but no one mentions he is gay until one scene where they are shooting a fashion layout and Nigel is with Andy and a male model goes and Nigel gives him a hot “I want him” look over. At that point it is clear he is gay. Are we going back to the point where being gay does not have to be mentioned anymore? I like it more when the gay character is out and has a life. OH well ! see the film and enjoy it’s a good one!

A silent film which is the first film to show a positive image of homosexuality and to be tolerant of it. It was produced by the Magnus Hirschfeld who was the founder of the Institute of Sexuality in Berlin. It is about a concert violinist being blackmailed because of his sexual orientation.

Note : It received good reviews but it was banned in 1920 with only medical Doctors being allowed to see a short version. Then the print was lost in the Nazi raids of Hirschfeld´s offices but later on a print (much shorter version of the original) was found in 1976. Finally in the year 2000 the film was put back together with a new music score and more footage. A must see !!!

In this film Doug Miles uses the 1954 B-movie, "Killers from Space" (starring Peter Graves) reedits and puts camp dialogue into the film making it a gay alien films where they are send to the planet Earth to stop a plot to wipe out all gay on earth. The plot was to get the gays to come to "Sodom Flats, Texas" and if they did they would get free Barbra Streisand concert tickets. Hum I would go!!

 

This film is too weird to really explain the story line. The re dubbing makes it a story of Fartin played by a youthful Peter Graves who crash lands his plane during a top secret experiment run which was trying to wipe out all homosexuals out of the military. He is taken away and gets a sex operation to make him gay (what ?) by gay aliens who want to make the planet earth totally gay.Strange scenes put into this film makes its quite funny.

 

Watch it to see if the gay aliens succeed in turning the earth people gay.. and as the picture trailer says :

THEY CAME FROM OUTER SPACE and THEY'RE FABULOUS!

 

Oh almost forgot to get the gays to come to be wiped out if they did come they would get free Barbra Streisand concert tickets. Hum I would go!!

Amazingly simple in concept, this movie has won awards for its treatment of 3 young lesbians coming to terms with their sexuality. Each of the girls are given a hand-held camera which they use to film themselves and their family during two or three years. They speak into

the camera-eye about their worries and joys, and their fear of being rejected by their parents when they come out to them. Swedish TV has shown a number of "hand-held" self-portraits by young people over the years and it's a really interesting idea. Not boring as you may think.

Today I watched the first film by Bruce Wood called "The Door".

 

From The DVD cover I knew it had gay content and that it had something to do with dreams so I was prepared for almost anything. I watched the entire film and was on edge of my chair for most of the film since I could not figure out why things were happening. It was like a murder / mystery film where you can not figure “who did it”. You are brought through the story of old friends (gays, bisexuals and straights) and a new good looking charming male person who suddenly appears and enters into their lives with amazing results.

 

You are fooled into believing you understand what is going on but you really can not guess the real story line. So basically it is almost impossible to tell you the story line without spoiling the film. What I can say I enjoyed the film and if you want to watch a really special film – this is the one to see especially if you have had "special" dreams of your own. 

 

I like the direction, story line and the unusual filming technique plus the really good sound tract.

 

So I am looking forward to seeing more films made by Bruce Wood and can not wait to see where he takes us to in the next film !!! 

 

The DVD contains additional material and interviews with the actors. Once you have watched these you will understand more of the background of the storyline.

The doors in the movie-title belong to the cubicles in the public toilets. The police removes them, so gays can't use the spaces for sex without being discovered.

This is a mystery which starts with the body of a Military plebe (David Hand) being found near the riverbank there is also a first class man´s insignia found. This is enough to cause a scandal at the U.S. Grant Military Academy The school headmaster is determined to hush it up and does everything in his power to cover up the fact that it was murder. He attempts to make everyone accept it as a simple drowning. This becomes a bigger problem to do as just before his death, David Hand has willing sexual relationships with another man. The finger points to Ry Slaight who is a first class man and the person that David loved. All this comes to light as the Army Intelligence finds (illegally) letters to his sister in her New York apartment. General Hedges says, "You cannot have a murder without a murderer." so he offers Slaight the opportunity to "leave quietly" which would mean that he would be out of the Infantry and sent to Vietnam. Ry decides to fight this with all his power and with the help of the sister sets out to find the real first class man who killed David. This is a really interesting story and with young men in Military clothes it is a plus to make you see it along with the fact it has a very young Alec Baldwin staring in it.
